A Hub of Community Vitality

At Aetta, we work to create spaces that resonate with their respective communities. The Yale Valley Community Library, managed by the Fort Vancouver Regional Library District in rural Washington, was developed as a vital community hub for events and gatherings while supporting enhanced library services.

Designed to maximize the picturesque surroundings, large glass areas provide expansive vistas from within while simultaneously mirroring the natural environment from without.

Acknowledging its remote location, we integrated a card-key access system for use during unstaffed hours, complemented by security cameras and an alarm system. This unique approach ensured both accessibility and security, making the library a safe and welcoming place. Simultaneously, we incorporated sitting areas and nooks for privacy and quiet corners to settle into. As a whole, the project embodies our ethos of creating functional, beautiful spaces that are deeply integrated with the needs of the community they serve.
