At Aetta, we work from a pragmatically innovative and human-centric position, an approach we brought to the forefront in our project for a small rural school district near Randle, Washington.
Embodying our commitment to solutions that meet the community's needs and are culturally and aesthetically resonant with their surroundings, we were mindful of reflecting the local architectural vernacular of the Alpine Lodge style and harmonizing with the rural mountain community.
Starting from this position, we designed and oversaw the construction of a new 65,000 sq. ft. Junior/Senior High School, incorporating a wing for the School District Administration facilities and a separate Bus Garage Building. The project also entailed a comprehensive redesign of the athletic fields and facilities, including track and field, soccer, and football, inclusive of grandstands and new ballfields.
The White Pass School facilities, having outlived their usefulness, presented us with the challenge of creating a modern educational environment. After years of effort, the district successfully passed a bond, paving the way for this transformative project. Today, the new high school has become a beacon of progress for the community, featuring state-of-the-art athletic facilities and grounds and a bond that facilitated the remodel and expansion of the adjacent elementary school.
