Fire Station 24 in Ridgefield, WA, is a 14,000 sq. ft., single-story, turn-of-the-century fire station replacement project strategically developed to align with the city's growth plan.
Our approach centered on the creation of a fully functional, safe, and efficient space for firefighters, inclusive of a comprehensive range of facilities—full-service kitchen, dining and day rooms, offices, individual firefighter quarters, an exercise gym, a personal protection gear room, an EMS/decontamination room, ample storage, and a backup generator.
Driving the design was adhering to the latest Hazard Zone standards, ensuring that Hot, Warm, and Cold zones are appropriately segregated and equipped with dedicated HVAC and electrical systems.
The station was developed with high-security standards to ensure firefighter safety and designed in the Pacific Northwest style to complement existing city infrastructure.
